Joseph A. Lypowy, owner of Lypowy Studio, developed an intense desire to pursue photography as a career early on while in High School. He studied photography with the School of Modern Photography. During his senior year in high school he worked part time at the Daily Observer Newspaper, Toms River and was promoted to full time staff photographer upon graduation in 1976. He left the Observer in 1977 and went on to do freelance work for the Asbury Park Press, Atlantic City Press and Lakewood Times for several years. In 1978 he formalized his business and expanded his services to do public relations and commercial photography. He also became an officer in the NJ Society of Commercial Photographers and did a lot of commercial photography for many companies. Around 1987 he added event video to his services. Throughout the years all aspects of photography and video services were added such as photo restoration, events, editing, film transfers, digital imaging and so on. Today he is putting an emphasis on producing custom marketing videos for businesses and organizations.  This year will be his fortieth year in business and he resides in Toms River with his wife AnnaMaria. He is a member of numerous business organizations in the area such as the Toms River Chamber of Commerce, Brick Chamber of Commerce, Central Ocean Business Association, Jersey Shore Business Network and many others.
